About the role:
You will be a key member of the Offshore People Planning team and the wider People Planning team globally, helping manage our demand for resources and allocating the right individuals (currently over 100 FTEs) depending on the business and client requirements as well as considering the individual’s career aspirations and development. You will build up knowledge of our markets, clients and their requirements combined with an awareness of the skillset and career aspirations of individuals to make the best resourcing decisions.
You will report to the Global Resource Management Director for Offshore Hub.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Workforce Planning and Forecasting
    • Analyze workforce requirements and develop long-term and short-term staffing plans.
    • Collaborate with department leaders to forecast resource needs based on project timelines, business growth, and seasonal demand.
    • Act as the first point of escalation for all Offshore Resource Management issues; partner with market Leadership to achieve resolution.
    • Provide guidance and thought leadership in Resource Management subjects.
  • Resource Allocation and Scheduling
    • Assign resources to projects based on skills, experience, and availability.
    • Optimize resource utilization to ensure the right person is working on the right task at the right time.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
    • Work closely with department leads, other People Planners, HR, and finance to align workforce planning with business objectives.
    • Provide advice and guidance to senior leadership on workforce trends, potential skill shortages, and resource planning challenges.
    • Establish and build relationships globally.
    • Demonstrating business etiquette in both meetings and written communications.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • In partnership with our Reporting team, publish the following: Utilization & billability reports, capacity plan by group of clients/accounts, trends and forecast summaries, timesheet compliance and other ad hoc reports as requested.
    • Analyze workforce data and trends to identify areas for improvement in resource planning and management.
  • Risk and Change Management
    • Identify potential risks in resource management, such as staffing shortages, skills gaps, or high turnover rates.
    • Develop contingency plans to address unexpected changes in staffing levels, such as employee absences, resignations, or urgent project requirements.
 
The ideal candidate possesses:
  • Min. 4 years of proven track record in establishing and managing resource management structures within a company of comparable size and scale.
  • Understanding of stakeholder needs, and the confidence and ability to challenge and influence them.
  • Deep understanding of resource management technology and data architecture.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with and all management levels.
  • Empathy and the ability to partner across all cultures and diverse backgrounds.
  • Keen and effective problem-solving skills.
  • A strong work ethic; able to work under pressure and juggle multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Exceptional diligence and attention to detail as well as resourcefulness and quick, practical thinking in a demanding environment.
  • Affinity for numbers, leveraging a data-driven, analytical approach to decision making.
  • Experience in change management (ideally).
